Allegiance (SWE) - Death - Black Viking Metal -
Hailz Supreme Metal Brothers and Sisters.
Allegiance was formed back in 1989 by Bogge (aka B.War, ex-Marduk/Devils Whorehouse/Elizium) and Fredrik Andersson (ex-Marduk). Dick Georgson and Mikael Almgren (The Sideburns) decided to join the Allegiance ranks. Devo Andersson (Marduk) later joined as vocalist. When Dick left Allegiance, Devo took over the guitar duties. Martin Gustafson (Darkfied) later joined as Allegiance's vocalist. Devo was asked to join Marduk at the same time he was playing in Allegiance, along with two other bands, and was unable to continue with the band. Par Thornell was asked to join and became Allegiance's prominent guitarist. Martin was asked to leave the band and Bogge to over vocals and guitar. Par, Bogge, and Mikael rotated musical duties and evolved as one of Sweden's best Viking / black metal bands. Allegiance released three full length albums with No Fashion Records. The band was only able to play several shows in Sweden, due to Bogge's and Fredrik's commitment to Marduk. Allegiance was forced to be put on hold for this same reason. Now the saga continues...Ulf Dalegren (ex-Vomitory) has joined the ranks. Currently, the band is working on new material and getting ready to unleash their Viking strength once again.
Hope that you enjoy this Supreme Swedish Viking Metallion Metalhearted Band. Support them, Add them and Spread the World about!

ANGSTRIDDEN (GRE) - Black Metal -
Hello there Mighty Metal-Hearts across the Lands.
Here I am once again introducing you to a new flesh Blood Black Metal. This time comming from Ancient lands of Hellas-Greece. If there are still Darkness Gods in Olympus I guess they will surelly like ANGSTRIDDEN.
They combine some of the best Black Metal sound being producced this days into a uniform and kikk ass sounding Black Metal. I sure advise you to check them out if you like bands Thorns, Satyricon, Zyklon and so on. You wouldn't lose your time I make you sure about.

A Bit More about ANGSTRIDDEN
ANGSTRIDDEN's activity began in the year of 2004. The band formed by TyFoeuZ (guitars) and Marios (battery) from the brutal deathsters EXTREME VIOLENCE. In the beggining, the band played raw, grim and monolithic black metal, influenced by the sound of DARKTHRONE and BURZUM. As time passed by, the band declared a brand new style more complicated, with a lethal point of view that fitted perfectly with the nihilistic and anti-human lyrics which reflect the state of our "so called" modern society. That formula rendered into a mix of total devastating, hateful black metal. The sound of late SATYRICON, ZYKLON-B, 1349, CADAVER INC., THORNS forged the forthcoming ANGSTRIDDEN's terrorism. Between the years 2005-2006 EL joined the band, taking on the vocal, bass and management duties. 2006 ment three Live terrorisms (with one of them supporting ROTTING CHRIST) and in August of the same year was the right time for the band to enter the studio and record it's first audio assault. A 5-track release of total aggressive, terroristic, hateful, nihilistic extreme art!
Hope that you enjoy this Supreme Greek Black Metallion Band. Support them, Add them and Spread the World about!

BEHEMOTH (POL) - Death Black Metal
Supreme Hailz Metallion Hellions |m|. Here I am spreading once again the word about one of the actual best Black-Death Metal bands of our times. Behemoth have grown from a Rough Black Metal stage with all the ancient spirit to a mighty Polish Styled Fast n' Brutal Death-Black Metal. A band woshiped by many. In few words a band full of tallent and unquestionable skilled Musicians lead by Nergal (founding member) ancient Wisdom. Hard to say much that havent been said already about Behemoth. So do check out, support and add them, just in case ya didn't done it allready! Might Mighty Hailz to all there |m|
A Bit More about Behemoth:
BEHEMOTH have always pushed the limits of their abilities and defied the boundaries of death and black metal. Now, the Polish metal kings have returned to rule on earth once more with Demigod! Originally formed by a teenage Nergal (guitars/vocals) in 1991, BEHEMOTH quickly made a name for themselves in black metal circles with four early cult albums: From The Pagan Vastlands, ...And The Forests Dream Eternally, Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic) and Grom. But it wasn't until the release of Pandemonic Incantations, with the addition of Inferno (drums), that the band started to realize their true potential. Songs were catchier and the musicianship and production vastly improved. With Satanica, BEHEMOTH started to incorporate more of a death metal approach to their songwriting. The high, raspy, black metal screeches of the first four albums were replaced with a forceful yet audible death metal growl. Two successful European tours followed with Deicide and Satyricon as the band started to amass a rabid following. As the group built a name for themselves throughout Europe, they soon caught the ears of America's Olympic Recordings and were quickly signed. In 2001, Thelema.6 was released in the U.S. Truly a landmark in the extreme metal community, Thelema.6 saw the band combining their early black metal influences with the utter viciousness and technicality of Satanica. Now an unstoppable live force, touring opportunities with bands such as Nile and Morbid Angel began to pour in. For those who thought the band had reached their peak, nothing could prepare them for what came next. Zos Kia Cultus (Here And Beyond) was unleashed upon an unsuspecting North and South American audience in February of 2003. Recorded at Poland's Hendrix Studios, the album saw Behemoth set a new standard in massive production and song craft for all others to meet. The band had taken a slight turn away from the more straight ahead brutality of Thelema.6 and put more of an emphasis on groove. As rave reviews started to flow in, the group made its American live debut at the New Jersey March Metal Meltdown festival. The several extensive nationwide tours that followed (which included the likes of Deicide, Amon Amarth, Halford, Testament, Danzig, Superjoint Ritual, Opeth, Nile, Lacuna Coil, and Six Feet Under) and the release of the Conjuration EP, all helped make 2003 a breakthrough year for the band. Mixed by Daniel Bergstrand (Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, In Flames), Demigod is the next logical progression of the bands already colossal sound. The songs have taken on an even more aggressive feel this time around, with more traditional metal song structures and slightly more melodic lead work. From the bludgeoning opener "Sculpting the Throne ov Seth" to the epic closing track "The Reign ov Shemsu Hor," BEHEMOTH have once again managed to top themselves. In an effort to match the grandness of the composition, a professional male choir was brought in to record real vocal harmonies for "Sculpting the Throne ov Seth." Also worth noting is Karl Sanders' (Nile) soaring guest solo on the track "XUL." While most bands struggle to evolve and stay vital within the extreme music genre, BEHEMOTH manages to do so effortlessly. Experience why Metal Maniacs has said, "BEHEMOTH is poised to be the most-talked about extreme metal band!"
Best Greetings and Regards to all out there.

A Bit More about Belphegor:
SUPREME DEATH / BLACK METAL ART
BELPHEGOR emerges as one of the most extreme line ups to ever come out of the death black metal scene. The band members themselves describe their hellride as "Supreme Death / Black Metal Art”
SEYN TODT IN SCHWARTZ
1993: The now legendary demo on Maxi Cd format, BLOODBATH IN PARADISE, is circulated within the underground and earns BELPHEGOR the reputation of an unrepentant, blasting war machine. 1995: The first studio album, THE LAST SUPPER, is released on Lethal Records and is a welcomed collection of infernal hymns for their growing fan base. Following their own path of sin and befitting their ever-evolving anti-religious, anti-life attitude, BELPHEGOR’s logo gets revamped to incorporate two inverted crosses completely surrounded by blood representing the slaughter of Christians and martyrs. 1997: Last Episode Records releases BLUTSABBATH. BELPHEGOR’s sinister reputation continues to gain momentum. 2000: Stagnation means death! The band spreads their disease once again via NECRODAEMON TERRORSATHAN, logging yet another volume of blasphemy added to The Vatican Library. 2002: BELPHEGOR celebrates their 10th anniversary by capturing a live set with songs played even faster than their original studio recordings on INFERNAL LIVE ORGASM (released on their own label, Phallelujah Productions). 2003: Produced by Alex Krull at Mastersound Studios, BELPHEGOR cram their high-speed murderous brutality into the 8-track release of LUCIFER INCESTUS, and then tour throughout Europe. 2005: The band opts to once again to work with Krull at Mastersound to create the morbid GOATREICH - FLESHCULT for Napalm Rec., and later touring Europe with the infamous X-Mass Festival. “We don’t give a fuck about anything and don’t let anyone talk us into doing anything. Only the music counts!”
PEST TEUFEL APOKALYPSE
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio in Kassel, Germany, and featuring artwork by Seth Siro Anton PESTAPOKALYPSE VI is, on the one hand, a concept album based on The Devil, Pestilence, and The Apocalypse, and on the other, a lesson in infernology. Incorporating unconventional harmonies with dynamic execution and monumentally aggressive vocal work, its multi-language approach (the German verses in “Bluhtsturm Erotika” are taken from the works of Marquis de Sade & Goethe; “Sanctus Perversum” defiles the church’s monopoly on Latin) accurately represents the infernal musical landscape BELPHEGOR comfortably inhabits.
Accept it: our world is necessarily haunted by evil, and when the armies of the dead return with their pestilence to annihilate the living, there will be no better guides while traveling down the fiery road to the endless abyss of Hell than BELPHEGOR.

CRIONICS (POL) - Death Black Metal
Hailz Supreme Metal Brothers and Sisters.
Once again I was asking you to check out some killer band comming out of Poland, the land of supreme quality Metal this days. Crionics are having all the best essence of that refined polish sound. Their Hybrid Black - Death Metal is in fact some of the best I heard since far long time, comparable only to the sound of Masters of the Genre like Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir and few others. This band is build from tallented musicians and they have a true ear catching new sound with all the best influences I am sure you would appretiate them... so do your best t support them and add them to your list and spread the word about them.
A Bit More about Crionics
CRIONICS formed in January 1997 in the city of Krakow, Poland. The first line up was then Waran-vocals, guitars, Yanuary-guitars, Marcotic-bass and Carol-drums. Their goal was to play fast and melodic metal music. A year after the band formed, they recorded five songs on a four-tracker. This material never saw the light because of its bad production. About six months later the band decided to record a four-song "DEMO 98". Because of the poor equipment the material wasn't exactly perfect, but the band decided to promote it anyway. They played a few shows and started looking for a keyboardist that would enhance their sound. Vac-V was the man that quickly became the missing link in their music and CRIONICS' music starts to sound more interesting and complete at their shows.
In the second half of 1999 Yanuary had to leave the band due to some musical and personal reasons. Later that year CRIONICS engaged Bielmo on guitars who also helped to record "BEYOND THE BLAZING HORIZON" in improvised home studio. Demonic Records released this twenty-minute demo as MCD in 2000. This recording is now available on a CD-R from the band itself, since Demonic Records are no longer in existence. It comes with new improved cover art and bonus tracks from the "DEMO 98".
In late 2000, Carol (drummer) left the band, and after a few months of looking for a replacement CRIONICS found Darkside who at the time played with a Krakow based band - TROMSNAR. August 2001 saw the departure of Bielmo (guitars). In early 2002, after a brief stage absence CRIONICS played a few local shows. Before the summer's end the band had already written new material and signed a contract for their debut album to Empire Records. The material was recorded in Hertz studio in the time span of 12 to 23 August 2002. On the 25th November 2002 CRIONICS - HUMAN ERROR (Ways to Selfdestruction) came out as a bonus CD with the 6th issue of "Thrash'em All" magazine. Soon, CRIONICS went on their first tour with bands such as BEHEMOTH, DARKANE and FRONTSIDE ("Here and Beyond Polish Tour") and were helped by an ex member-Yanuary (THY DISEASE, ANAL STENCH) who took over the duties of a second guitarist on the stage.
Year 2003 brought shows and festivals where the band promoted their debut album. The most important event was Metalmania 2003 festival in March, with a crowd of 5000, where the band played the second stage. The headliners included SAMAEL, MARDUK, SAXON, OPETH. Other shows were Hell Fest 2003, Metal Inferno Fest 2003 not mentioning many smaller, local gigs.
A very important three-record deal with Candlelight Records (with bands such as EMPEROR, MYRKSKOG and ZYKLON) came to life in the late 2003. The label represents CRIONICS outside of Poland. In their home country Empire Records takes them care of. "HUMAN ERROR (Ways to Selfdestruction)" comes out worldwide on the 25th of March 2004 with the bonus cover of CARPATHIAN FOREST. With the start of 2004 CRIONICS were ready to register their new material entitled "ARMAGEDDON'S EVOLUTION". The recording session was split between Lynx studio (where most of the instruments were recorded) and Hertz studio (drums, mixing and mastering the album) in July. During the recording session the band parted ways with the co-founder and long time bassist - Marcotic. In October CRIONICS went on a 17-date "Blitzkrieg II" tour, supporting VADER, LOST SOUL and CETI. New bassist - Destroyer (who also plays in MOLOCH and KRIEGSMASCHINE) joined the band before the tour as a session musician. The new album came out in Poland on November 9th 2004 with the 5th issue of Thrash'em All magazine.
CRIONICS joined DECAPITATED, HATE and DIES IRAE on "The Ultimate Domination Tour 2005" in February 2005. It's their first European tour, organized by Massive Management and Crash Concerts including 20 shows in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and other countries. "ARMAGEDDON'S EVOLUTION" release date for Europe was February 7th, and in the US, it was available from February 8th.

CROM (GER) - Epic Metal
Hello there my good Metallion Brothers and Sisters Here I am once again spreading the word of another great band comming from German mighty lands and playing a supreme Epic/Pagan Metal with all the best spirit and legendary tales to be told. To all who are simply addicted with this mighty ancient legends ya sure shouldn't miss this great band that is spreading some of the best sound in this genre.
A bit more about CROM
In the summer of 1997 I dissolved my band TEARS OF TIME, to join German Black Metal band DARK FORTRESS on guitar. I realised the playing the guitar would not satisfy me completely, so in the winter of the same year, I decided to found my solo project CROM. Initially, CROM was meant as a tribute to my favourite band Bathory. However working with DARK FORTRESS proved to be so time-consuming, that after having written three songs relatively fast I decided to temporarily suspend my work on CROM. So do your best and spread the word about another great band!
After three years and two albums I decided to leave DARK FORTRESS to concentrate on CROM. During these three years I had written about ten songs and produced a Promo (Promo 2000) and so already had an excellent platform from which to launch what was to become my main band, playing epic melodic metal. I revised two of the songs and wrote a new one, and on January 25 2002 I entered the Aexxys Art / Schwandorf studios to record "The Fallen Beauty" EP. However, the studio was refurbished immediately after recording and therefore the final mix was delayed and the CD not completed until June 2002. Another self-produced MCD followed on from "The Fallen Beauty" (Promo 2002).
Belgian artist Kris Verwimp has always been the obvious choice for the cover design since not only had be produced some classic covers for, amongst others, Immortal and Marduk, but he also had a good feel for the subject of my songs.
In 2005 I joined with DARK FORTRESS' vocalist AZATHOTH, to form SINDECADE, a Black Metal side project and released the "Terrorcrowned" MCD on my own label Noecreation Productions. This is purely a recording project and it is not intended to be a live band. You can hear SINDECADE's "Pitch Black Deserts" on Patricia's mp3 player by clicking onto her page through my top friends. Copies are available if you'd like to drop either myself or Patricia a message.
The new CROM album "Vengeance" has now been recorded and mixed, and I have started to look for a label for its release, if any are interested I would be pleased to hear from them. Work has also started on the next album. I plan to tour with CROM in the near future, and the touring line-up will include several members of DARK FORTRESS.

Best Greetings and Regards to all out there.

DIABOLOS (US) - Horror Metal
Hailz Supreme Metallion Brothers and Sisters.
Once again I am introducing you to some Kikk ass band, now comming from the U.S. their name is DIABOLOS and they play some fukkin' Wicked Death / Black Metal.
Now a Bit More about Diabolos:
Diabolos was formed roughly in Feb. 2005. After spending a long time looking for a drummer to complete the band, one was found in Chris "Murder Machine" (also drummer for the thrash/grind band The Dolemite Project). Vocalist/guitarist Undead Torment (ex Draconis/Nokturne and currently in Necrophagia) and bassist N. Eibon Fiend (ex The Revenants and currently in Demonia/Hellfire) were set to unleash the frantic music of Diabolos to the masses. Their style of black metal laced with heavy doses of thrash and even punk is not only fast but melodic as hell. Undead Torment's transcendental guitar stylings, mixed with the distorted sludge gorebass courtesy of N. Eibon Fiend all held together with the almost methodical bombing assault from Murder Machine is what the core of Diabolos' music is about.

DIMMU BORGIR (US) - MELODIC-SYMPHONIC BLACK METAL
Hey there metallion Hellions, Brothers in METAL! Here I am spreading the word about one of my own favorite bands since quite some time now! Dimmu Borgir shouldn't be unknown to you neither to the Metal Masses. They play some of the true best Melodic/Symphonic Black Metal that this Metal Universe has heard about!! Long is the Legacy and History of this band. So check it out and Add them if ya didn't done it yet!
A Bit More about Dimmu Borgir:
Dimmu Borgir began their career by releasing a 7" EP entitled "Inn I Evighetens Morke" ("Into the Eternity of Darkness") on Necromantic Gallery Productions in 1994. It sold out within a few weeks, marking the start of a successful and magnificent band. Dimmu Borgir existed in the black metal scene for quite some time but did not get the recognition they deserved until late 1994, when they released their debut full length album "For All Tid"--a slow, dark and atmospheric recording--on No Colour Records. The album features contributions by Aldrahn from Dødheimsgard and Vicotnik from Ved Buens Ende. The lineup on their debut album was: Shagrath - Drums & Vocals (Guitar on track 5), Erkekjetter Silenoz - Guitar & Vocals, Tjodalv - Guitar, Brynjard Tristan - Bass, Stian Aarstad - Synthesizers, Piano & Effects. In 1996 they released one of the most important albums in black metal history, "Stormblåst", on a new label, Cacophonous records. During that time period, this album showed that Dimmu Borgir was one of the better melodic black metal bands. They took a big step forwards, towards the distinctive sound in which Dimmu Borgir is known for today. Mature song writing, with good variance of tempos, a strong classical influence and one of the best black metal sounds out there. "Stormblåst" showed an increase in speed, yet maintained the melody and atmosphere. Lineup on this recording was: Shagrath - Lead Guitar & Vocals, Erkekjetter Silenoz - Rhythm Guitar & Vocals, Tjodalv - Drum & Percussion, Brynjard Tristan - Bass Guitar, Stian Aarstad - Synthesizers & Piano.
For the first two full lengths, Dimmu Borgir wrote their lyrics in Norwegian, however after the release of "Stormblåst", they changed the lyrics into English. The main reason was that the majority of the audience did not understand the lyrics and so Dimmu Borgir wanted use a popular language to communicate their message--to reach a broader audience.
After "Stormblåst", Dimmu Borgir released the "Devil's Path" MCD on Hot Records, in 1996. Shagrath actually worked in Hot records and he was responsible for the signing and promotion of bands. "Devil's Path" is a MCD with 4 songs, and includes a brilliant song entitled "Devil's Path", so it's worth purchasing this release to complete your Dimmu Borgir discography. For the MCD, Nagash, who at that time was in Troll and The Kovenant (previously called Covenant) was recruited to replace Tristan on bass. Stian Aarstad did not perform keyboard duties on this album due to the fact that he had to take care of business regarding the Norwegian army. Line up on this recording was: Shagrath - Guitar, Vocals & Keyboard, Erkekjetter Silenoz - Guitar, Tjodalv - Drums, Nagash - Bass.
In 1997 Dimmu Borgir released their masterpiece "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant"--an engaging, powerful and moving recording. One of the most important black metal releases this century (webmaster's comment). "Enthrone…" marked a move to a bigger label, impeccable production (by the famous Peter Tagtren) and the success of 150,000+ in record sales. Due to these reasons, many have claimed that Dimmu Borgir have sold out. This is not true. The fact is that with this release they have made black metal available for a much broader audience and with their melodic-yet-still-aggressive sound, they became one of the biggest names in black metal. This was a great achievement, and being a hard working, dedicated and persistent band, Dimmu Borgir deserve their high status. "Enthrone…" was released on their new label, Nuclear Blast, after their old record label failed to give their best to promote Dimmu Borgir. If you are curious as to why the lyrics of "Tormentor of Christian Souls" are not include in the booklet is because Nuclear Blast did not want to be responsible for printing them! Line up on this recording was: Shagrath - Guitar & Vocals, Erkekjetter Silenoz - Guitar, Tjodalv - Drums, Nagash - Bass, Stian Aarstad - Synthesizers and piano.
After the recording of "Enthrone…" the band hired Astennu to play guitars during live performances, so Shagrath could fully concentrate on his vocals and stage performance. Astennu replaced Jens Petter who was a member for a short while between "Stormblåst" and "Enthrone…" Astennu is originally from Australia and came to Norway to record his solo project Carpe Tenebrum, which was previously called Lord Kaos. He then played guitar in The Kovenant and after a short time, became aware of his priorities, quit, and is presently a full-time member of Dimmu Borgir. After the "Enthrone…" tour, Dimmu Borgir had a mini-tour where Tjodalv left the band for a few months to be with his family and newborn child. His replacement was Aggressor, filling in as a session drummer, who is currently with Aura Noir. In the "Enthrone…" tour, Stian Aarstad had trouble participating in some of the performances and was fired from the band. Stian Aarstad has now joined the ranks of the Norwegian black metal band Enthral. His replacement was Kimberley Goss, who has previously worked with Therion, Ancient and currently, Sinergy. But after an incredibly brief stay with Dimmu Borgir, Kimberly Goss had to leave the band, due to the fact that she was a session member. Her replacement--on a very short notice--was Mustis, a young keyboard player from Norway and acquaintance of Shagrath since early 1998. He had his first live appearance with Dimmu Borgir at the Dynamo Open Air festival 1998. Mustis has not played in any significant bands previous to Dimmu Borgir, but he has added a new element to the band, and the new sound can be heard on "Spiritual…" Mustis had a heavy influence on this album, considering 60% of Dimmu Borgir songs are created on keyboard first.
A very nice surprise was the re-release of Dimmu Borgir's debut album, "For all Tid", on Nuclear Blast in 1998. This album contains all of the original material and includes two songs from their 7" EP "Inn I Evighetens Morke" ("Into the Eternity of Darkness"). In the same year, Dimmu Borgir released a MCD, "Godless Savage Garden", which is also on Nuclear Blast. The album contains 2 new songs, 2 re-releases, one cover and 3 live recordings. This release was only intended to be a "goodie" while the fans were waiting for the new album, "Spiritual…" This MCD was rated so good that it was nominated for "Spellemannsprisen", a Norwegian Grammy, in the metal category. "Godless…" was nominated together with albums from The Kovenant and Mundanus Imperium. The whole show was aired on Norwegian television and Dimmu Borgir played "Grotesquery Concealed" live, from the "Spiritual…" album. The performance was the only highlight of the entire show. Unfortunately Dimmu Borgir did not win the Grammy, but The Kovenant did, for their "Nexus Polaris" album.
The recording of "Spiritual Black Dimensions" once again took place in the infamous Abyss Studios with Peter Tagtren (Hypocrisy, Pain, The Abyss). Dimmu Borgir achieved an outstanding sound, complexly layered and powerfully enchanting. "Phantasmagoria" was the name of the song first performed live at 1998 Dynamo festival. Another song from "Spiritual..." was released on the Beauty in Darkness Vol.3 compilation, on Nuclear Blast, entitled "The Insight And The Catharsis", serving as a teaser before the albums official release.
Released officially on March 1, 1999, by Nuclear Blast, "Spiritual..." took the record stores by storm and proved once again that Dimmu Borgir are the kings of the dark throne. Prior to the release, many have been curious as to what direction the music would take. Those in doubt of Dimmu Borgir's dedication to extreme music were forced to face reality when "Spiritual…" proved to be their most complex and extreme album to date. After this recording Nagash decided to quit Dimmu Borgir to concentrate fully on The Kovenant. The temporary replacement, Simen Hestnaes (also known as I.C.S. Vortex) from Borknagar contributed to this recording with clean and operatic style vocals. He is also the session bassist on the "Spiritual…" tour 1999. In late 1999 Simen became (as I think everybody hoped for) the permanent replacement on bass and full member of Dimmu Borgir. The line up on this recording was: Shagrath - Vocals, Erkekjetter Silenoz - Guitar, Astennu - Lead Guitar, Tjodalv - Drums & Percussion, Nagash - Bass, Mustis - Synthesizers & Piano.
A month after the release of "Spiritual... ", Dimmu Borgir made a split album with Old Man's Child, titled "Sons of Satan Gather for Attack." Also in the same month Astennu released his side project, Carpe Tenebrum, entitled "Mirrored Hate painting". This project involved vocals from Nagash and contains similar elements as Dimmu Borgir, only faster. Both of these albums were released through Hammerheart Records. In the early stages of the 1999 Dimmu Borgir tour, right after their crushing gigs in New Jersey and Montreal, Tjodalv decided to leave the band due to musical and personal differences. He has a family to take care of and cannot do the immense touring of Dimmu Borgir. Tjodalv's replacement should be familiar to everyone, it is none other than the godly Nick Barker, former Cradle Of Filth drummer. Nick has recently finished drumming duties with Borknagar on the North American "Kings of Terror Tour". Nick will release a new album with his side project "Lockup", the album is titled "Pleasure paves sewers". The album was recorded in Peter’s Abyss Studio in Sweden and released 22.11.99 by Nuclear Blast.
Dimmu Borgir was about to start the recording of a new album in March 2000 the bandwas booked into Abyss studio with producer Peter Tagtgren to record the yet untitled new album in March and April 2000. This did not happen because they needed more time to finish the new material. They also have had some financial problems that restricted the rehersal time, because Nick still lives in England and could not afford to come over to norway as often as he should have. The recording of the new album is set to take place in studio Fredman.

Now a Bit More about Elizium:
Elizium was born in June 2006 out of the ashes of the Swedish Black Metal scene mainstays Marduk´s gloryday line up, featuring Erik Legion, B.war and Emil Dragutinovic. A first demo was immediately recorded together with guitarist Joinus to show a new breed of wretched sounds from the beforementioned veterans, taking focus off the blastbeating using a wider pallette of sounds from slow grinding gloom to exploding primal fury via frosty wicked melodies and progressive madness. During the fall of 2006 new members guitarist Marcus Lundberg and new bassplayer Richard Tiwas Kottelin joined the fold, sharing the bands vision to spew out further sulphursmelling metalhymns. The results are the new songs "Gemini is the Snake","Ninewinged Serpent","Jackal" and "Instigator" where the bands audial and lyrical concept is taken 7 journeys further. Currently 13 tracks have reached completion, look out for the debut of this promising band in 2007!! With strong roots in Nordic mythology, and some of the lyrics in their mother tongue, the mood set is that of ancient peoples, their hopes and beliefs and their wars and hardships. To date, two albums have been released: 'Offerings to the Hunger' (2001) and 'Ordeal' (2005), the last of which was an unsigned release. Fenris is currently looking to sign with a record label.

HATE (POL) - Death - Black Metal
Hailz Supreme Metal Brothers and Sisters.
Once again I was asking you to check out this killer band comming out of Poland, the lands of supreme quality Metal this days as we all know. HATE are having all the best essence of that refined polish sound. You would for sure appretiate them if you like Supreme and Well Made Death/Black with that supreme Quality that several Killer Polish Bands got ya used with... so do your best to support them and add them to your list and spread the word about them.
A Bit More about HATE:
VERY few bands have been able to create such UNHOLY art for so long. Very few have managed to make it so genuine and fresh for years without compromising any of its extremity. Very few have such enduring power allowing to survive for years without changing their radical attitude and message. True sense of purpose that has been in this band since the very beginning has made their message strong and audiable throughout their entire existence even though it has never been in the mainstreem. What clearly distinguishes HATE from other bands around is their hermetic and orderly style bringing to mind some classical works rather than those of extreme metal. This style, however, is undergoing some changes; the band have been adding innovative elements (ANACLASIS album) that bring freshness (so needed!) to extreme metal. Their latest magnificent opus craftly combines death and black metal with industrial and ambient influences.
HATE is undoubtedly one of the best extreme metal acts coming from eastern Europe that emerged in the nineties. Founded in 1990 by ATF Sinner (guitar, vocal), the group has had a great influence on forming what is now called ..Polish Death Metal phenomenon... Their three demos: ..Abhorrence.. 1992, ..Evil Art..1994 and ..Unwritten Law.. 1995 established HATE as one of the most influential acts on the Polish metal scene. In 1996 the band released the first album ..Daemon Qui Fecit Terram.. through a domestic label Loud Out Records. Two years later came out the second lp. from the group entitled ..Lord Is Avenger.. and shortly after that a mini lp. ..Victims.. was released on Metal Mind Prods. It was high time for HATE to make it to the West which finally happened in the year 2000 when the group signed a deal to American label Dwell Records. A Slayer..s cover song ..Postmortem.. done by HATE appeared on Dwell..s compilation ..Gateways To Hell vol 2... Several months later the band relesed their full-length western debut entitled ..Holy Dead Trinity.. (World War III) that contained music from ..Lord Is Avenger.. and ..Victims... The material got mostly rave reviews in the press and was welcomed among Amarican metalheads. Two years later HATE recorded their second album for World War III - ..Cain..s Way.., which strengthened their position on American market. Although both albums were well known in the US, they never had a good distribution elsewhere being just numbers in Blackened Rec..s catalogue. In 2003 HATE signed a record deal to French-based label Listenable Records which resulted in releasing a new opus ..Awakening of The Liar.. which was sort of breakthrough album in the band..s career. Recorgnized as one of the best examples of classical death metal with some modern flair, the material gained the band a strong fanbase, this time not only in the US. HATE toured European continent in February 2005 in company of Decapitated, Crionics and Dies Irae. In December 2005 a new album ..Anaclasis- A haunting Gospel of Malice & Hatred.. was released on Listenable Records again and this time it was not a traditional death metal any more. The band..s style has undergone some important changes; industrial samples that were once just an addition to the overall brutal death metal, now became an integral part of the music. ..Anaclasis.. has been hailed as one of the greatest combinations of death/black metal with industrial and ambient influences; the album has got enthusiastic reviews in most metal media and established HATE as one of the genre..s innovators. In May 2006 HATE toured Europe once again with Carpathian Forest and Keep Of Kalessin and performed on Party.San Open Air Festival in July 2006. In February 2007 the band is to tour Europe once more in company of Decapitated and appear on most Summer festivals.

HEADSPIN (NOR) - Thrash Metal
Supreme Hailz my dear friends ov this Metal Universe |m|
Here I am introducing to you a quite new and still fresh Thrash Metal band coming from the Frozen Lands of Norway. Probably ya Heard Keep of Kalessin so far but can ya immagine them playing some high class Thrash with all the best Influences? Hell Headspin surely is the answer to that! Do Check out and Support. I am sure ya will like them if you are into some class Thrash Metal act!
A Bit More about Headspin:
Obsidian C. didn't like the direction Keep Of Kalessin were going when he started to take all the thrash metal influences into the band. So instead he started Headspin to get all the thrash metal riffs off his chest. For a long time he and his best friend Marcus Silver (Griffin, Triosphere) wanted to share the stage together and now they had the chance.
Vyl was a natural choice when it came to getting a drummer. He had the skills and believe it or not, he writes fucking awesome thrash metal riffs!
Instead of searching all over town for a complete line-up they decided to get Keep Of Kalessin bassplayer Wizziac on board and got Hissig Hans to record the vocals on their demo. Vocals on the demo however, was never finished and Hans later left the band. Wizziac has now taken over the vocals and the line-up is set to go as a four-piece like the old hereos used to be!
Even though Kalessin-members are weighing heavy in this band they are good enough songwriters to make this something totally different!
They are natural born bastards and they're not afraid to admit it! Be on the lookout for a fucking mindblowing thrash metal release in may 2007 via Morningstar Records!

IN QUEST(BEL) : Avantgard Death Metal
Hailz Supreme Metal Brothers and Sisters.
Once again I was asking you to check out this kikk ass Metal Band comming out of Belgium. "In Quest" are having some of the best Avantgarde Extreme and Technical Death Metal this days. The sound is quite complex and exploring Metal to it's refined best. I am sure you would appretiate them if you like some well structured and avantgarde Metal ... so do your best t support them and add them to your list and spread the word about them.
A Bit More About In Quest:
I N - Q U E S T - Your guidance in subsonic collapse - A postmodern, extreme metal act with a strong hypnotic touch
“Our festival showed: heavy, thrash, black, folk, gothic, death and IN-QUEST!” (quote from a Belgian metal support forum) This quote proves that IN-QUEST is a band hard to describe and categorize. Being active more than ten years in the underground scene, the band gradually chose to leave it's praised cult Grind/Death status behind, taking a new path and evolving to a whole new level of musical maturity, lyric wise and imagery wise.
The one constant IN-QUEST have maintained during this musical challenge is the completely diverse sound that refuses to accept standard categorization. People have described it as an enlightened form of Death Metal, over Technical Metal up to Nu Metal. All put together, IN-QUEST manages to create a pounding vibe of modern, melodic energy while maintaining an intense level of technical creativity not easily found elsewhere.
The evidence of this can be heard on their fourth full length album THE COMATOSE QUANDARIES, without doubt their most mature and aggressive release to date. Being a true statement of renewed extreme music, this release shows experienced musicianship and the unique craft of blending music styles, combing furious blast beats, mechanical rhythms and catchy grooves. 11 New tracks prove that In-Quest have fine tuned their unique sound once more, resulting in chunky, pounding compositions spiced with aggressive breakdowns and their typical hypnotic, melodic touch.
The album also shows the band's new singer Mike Löfberg, whose diverse and powerful vocals blend in seamlessly with In-Quest's music, making it sound like a unit more than ever. Due to this and other new influences, In-Quest managed to somewhat break away from their traditional 'death' roots, crossing over to more mainstream genres in the vein of Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad and Meshuggah.
After a small successful tour with Fear Factory, a rerelease of their previous album "Epileptic" and a lot of headlining shows in 2004 & 2005, the band's renowned stage presence and tightness recently opened the borders for even more foreign shows. With "Epileptic" and "The Comatose Quandaries", the band is ready to tour extensively.
In their home country, In-Quest soon played the Graspop Metal Meeting 2005, Belgium's most prestigeous metal festival. Short after, another European tour followed with American death metal legends Nile. Pushing their name abroad, In-Quest quickly got the foreign club circuit interested, resulting in more and more cooperations and shows abroad. To close their "Comatose Quandaries" chapter, In-Quest will do another small central EU tour in May, again with old friends Fear Factory. In the meanwhile the band has started working on a new album. But no date is set yet, since the band is in search for a serious record deal.

KEEP OF KALESSIN (NOR) - Norwegian Black Metal
Hailz Supreme Metal Brothers and Sisters.
Once again I was asking you to check out this extreme Metal killer band comming out from Trondheim-Norway Old and Cold Soils, the land of supreme quality Metal. Keep of Kalessin have achieved with their sound some of the best Extreme Metal ever produced till this days. With Armada they have without a doubt defined a new way for Metal to be played fast within the fantastic skills of all their musicians. Reclaim with Frost on Drumms and Attila on Vokkills was just a start of their new promissing path. I am sure You would for sure appretiate them if you are fans of skilled and technic Extreme Metal... so do your best t support them and add them to your list and spread the word about them.
A Bit More about KoK:
Keep of Kalessin spawned back in 1994, under the name Ildskjaer, by hand of Ghash and Obsidian C. , later joined by Vyl and Warach. The band´s violent yet dark and epic Black metal as well as the somewhat mysterious monicker and lyrics, are inspired by the work of fantasy of the American writer U. Le Guin ´The Earthsea Quartet´.With this concept in mind, the guys recorded the first demo ´ Skygger av sorg´ in the Fall of 1996, though several problems in finding a proper rehearsal room made this task rather difficult and as a matter of fact the lack of practice resulted in an untight performance on tape and a consequent limited spreading of it. Only some ten labels and magazines received it and the response was surprisingly positive, gracing the band with a contract from Italy's Avantgarde Music. The debut album ´Through times of war´ was recorded in summer 1997 in Brygga studios, Trondheim and presented the band with a crystal clear yet heavy production on some ear-blasting music which has been often compared to Mayhem's opus ´The mysteriis´. A couple of years later, after some pretty successful gigs played around Norway together with Bloodthorn, the quartet returned with ´Agnen. A journey through the dark´, again recorded in the much appreciated Brygga studio. With this second album the band actually took much distance from the now trendy Norwegian Black metal style, picking up influences from the Thrash and Death metal genres thus establishing a rather Swedish oriented sound. But the guys did not forget their roots and therefore they took part in the much anticipated Mayhem tribute album released by Avantgarde itself. Their superb interpretation of ´Buried by Time and Dust´ put them right up there with the likes of Emperor, Gorgoroth, Dark Funeral, just to name a few of the top class bands also appeared on this ambitious project.
In the year 2000 the line-up split due to personal reasons, but guitarist and songwriter Obsidian C. wouldn't let that stop him. He continued to make Kalessin-style music and developed his own style even more. This ultra-fast, brutal and yet melodic style needed a drummer, but in the small town of Trondheim he was unable to find one that could keep up with his riffing. Almost three years would pass and then he was offered the job in Satyricon after he had auditioned and played the ass off some 30 other guitarists from all over the world who had applied for the job. As soon as he was a part of Satyricon he was also in contact with one of black metal´s fastest and most brutal drummers, Frost!
Frost heard the new Keep Of Kalessin material and immediately said yes when Obsidian C. asked him to do the drumming on his new EP. Touring with Satyricon also made it possible for Obsidian C. to recruit the legendary Attila Csihar who did the vocals on Mayhem´s ´De Mysteriis dom Sathanas´. The three piece line-up recorded the "Reclaim" EP, released in 2004 and put the band into the Elite black metal scene of Norway, but due to the distance between Frost, Attila and Obsidian C. this line-up couldn't last. Obsidian C. is determined to bring Keep Of Kalessin to the masses and has seen that live performances is a must for doing that. He has teamed up with early Kalessin drummer Vyl and found a perfect replacement for Attila as well as a new bassplayer.
Together with lyricwriter from the Reclaim EP, Torstein Parelius, Obsidian C. has for the past two years been working on the new album entitled "Armada".
This album is anticipated to bring Keep Of Kalessin even further into the Elite ranks Norwegian metal along with bands like Emperor, Satyricon, Immortal, Mayhem and Dimmu Borgir.
The album will be a huge epic masterpiece which will be a massive blow to the worldwide metal scene. It is melodic, but it's still fast and grim and every song on the album is said to bring goosebumps from top to toe!
A new video will be released in early 2006 and the album will hit the stores worldwide on March 27th.

PYORRHOEA (POL) - Brutal Grind Death Metal Art
Hailz Supreme Metal Brothers and Sisters.

You would for sure appretiate them... so do your best t support them and add them to your list and spread the word about them.
Now a Little More about Pyorrhoea:
PYORRHOEA was found in the middle of 2001 by Cyprian and Andy Blakk. After a couple of months Daray and Analripper joined the band.
In June of 2002 Pyorrhoea entered Hertz studio and recorded promo, which contains near 15 minutes of intense death/grind.
New guitarist A.D.Gore joined the band in November 2002.
On the turn of November 2003 Pyorrhoea entered Hertz studio again and recorded "Desire for Torment" album. It contains 14 tracks of brutal death/grind art.
Pyorrhoea has officially signed three-record deal with Empire Records. Debut album "Desire For Torment" was released in Poland with 4th issue of Thrash'em All Magazine
In the meantime Andy Blakk decided to leave the band due to personal and health problems. Max took up his functions as guitarist, but Andy Blakk still supports Pyorrhoea during their art of destruction.
In the beginning of 2004, when temporary non attendance of drummer Daray started to collide with concert timetable, the band offered this function to Desecrate, member of bands: Naamah, Gortal and Desecrated.
Middle of 2004 - Max leaves the band. Pyorrhoea until the end of the year plays concerts as quartet with one guitar.
End of 2004 - Lukas from Warsaw band Sphere, former guitarist of Abused Majesty became member of Pyorrhoea. After that during Days Of Destruction Tour 2004 Pyorrhoea toured Poland first time amongst bands: Hate, Decapitated, Abused Majesty.
Beginning of 2005 brought what was inevitable. Daray left the band, so presence of new drummer - Desecrate became official.
Not so long after, due to personal reasons vocalist Anal Ripper decided to leave formation. His place took Chryste, known as vocalist and guitarist of Warsaw death squad - Gortal.
In March 2005 Pyorrhoea was invited to play during one of the biggest European metal festival METALMANIA 2005.

SOTHIS (USA) - Symphonic Black Metal -
Big and Mighty Hailz My Friends.
Once again I am asking you to check out an awesome Symphonic Black Metal Band. Sothis come from the United States... yes I know what your thinking about, if it's not Scandinavian Black Metal then it sucks... well I think you all who like good music are way more open minded that than. About Sothis I am sure ya will be impressed with their melodies, skills and sinister created envoyrments of chaos and blasphemy.
No way they can be seen as usual Symphonic Black Metal copycats, they have their own Identity and in fact Sothis have come to blast this Metal World with their Symphonic Wicked Tunes.
They are surely seeking for a better exposure since they are pretty unknown in Europe for example... but that is about to change if everybody gives them a fair chance to conquer some stages across this globe.
Do your Best and Support Sothis and see them Rise upon the Metal World.

RüPä - NeKronos Promotion Hell

Now a Bit More about SOTHIS:

In the summer of 1999, Dross and Scathe met while enrolled at a recording engineering school called Los Angeles Recording Workshop. Shortly after meeting, the two decided to get together and casually jam together and bounce different musical ideas off of each other. In March of 2000, they placed their first ads to begin forming what was to ultimately become Sothis. In December of 2000, they found their first member; a bassist named Zereth. One month later they attained a keyboardist named Asperia. The members began writing material and continuing to search for a vocalist and second guitar player. In May of 2001, a second guitarist joined the band but, due to time constraints on his part, the relationship was short lived. The foursome continued to battle on by auditioning many musicians but, unfortunately, none of them ultimately panned out. In October of 2001, Zereth departed to pursue his own musical endeavors and Scathe, Dross, and Asperia continued on.
After two years of persistent attempts to find new members, they decided that without the right vocalist, it simply wasn’t worth continuing on. The trio placed a modest, quarter page ad in Pit Magazine issue #40 in search of a vocalist. In July of 2002, prior to the Pit Magazine ad being released, Dross answered an ad posted by Drogoth, the vocalist of San Diego based Symphonic Black Metal band “Nocturnal Demise”. By September of that same year, Drogoth had disbanded Nocturnal Demise in order to join both the band and its battle to make Sothis a complete unit. In February 2003, the Sothis crew decided to place a 30 second commercial on the now defunct " L.A. Metal" T.V. program which aired on a local cable television network. While it might have been a noble attempt at finding a Bassist and second Guitarist, the effort proved ultimately fruitless. The four even tried other alternative tactics in order to complete the lineup, including a two hundred dollar reward to anyone that referred someone to them that would ultimately become a permanent member.
While pursuing a lead on a possible Bass player who was talking about re-locating to Los Angeles from the Chicago area, Drogoth was introduced to Guitarist Nylock. By April of 2003, Nylock had joined Sothis and the battle was on to find a Bassist. The five members of Sothis decided to go on an all out campaign to find a Bass player and complete the line up. The onslaught consisted of constant classified ads, flyering gigs, and the placement of several ads in local magazines. With very little response to these efforts, the band realized that it was time to begin recording their first demo CD, even though the lineup wasn't quite complete. In March of 2004, the band began recording their first official release, with Scathe handling bass playing duties. Before the recording was finished, Sothis finally found the bassist they needed to complete the lineup. In the end, it wasn't until December of 2004 that the Bass player would finally be found.
Ironically, Zereth returned to the fold, some four years after he had first joined. The task of completing the recording was an arduous one, with many obstacles slowing down the process. During the time that Sothis was continuing the recording of their demo, they released several full-page color ads in "Keeper Magazine" to keep the L.A. metal scene aware of their presence, and their upcoming release. Now, with a complete line up and a new self titled debut completed, Sothis has redirected its focus and ambition on bringing their music to the metal community. Take time to listen to their new release. You too can join Sothis in its new battle by spreading the news of their arrival and by e-mailing links or MP3’s to your friends.

Once again I was asking you to check out this killer band comming out of Norway, land of supreme quality Metal this days. Now a Bit More about Susperia:
Susperia may have their roots in Norway’s black metal scene, but that is merely a starting point for a band that describes their music as “extreme metal with melodic twists”. Their simple philosophy of “no boundaries” – as reflected on the album ‘Unlimited’ – demonstrates how Susperia have no hesitation in embracing and exploring a variety of musical avenues with ease. They feel that originality is the essence of surviving the music industry today and their willingness to experiment has seen development and progression over their three-album career, to a point where they are managing to carve out their own identity within the metal genre.
The origins of the Oslo based band can be traced back to 1998 when Tjodalv, then occupying the drum seat with Dimmu Borgir, and long time friend Cyrus (Satyricon, Old Man´s Child) would get together regularly to share ideas and write songs. These sessions developed rapidly into the foundations of what would eventually become the band Susperia. By March 1999 Tjodalv had left Dimmu Borgir to concentrate fully on building a band that was capable of sharing one vision and performing a challenging style of music. A chance meeting between Athera and Tjodalv at 1999’s Wacken Festival in Germany proved to be beneficial and would eventually lead to the completion of the Susperia line up. Athera had been handed a CD of ideas that Tjodalv and Cyrus had been working on. Suitably impressed by what he heard, Athera wasted no time in agreeing to join the fledgling band, bringing along with him from his own band, bass guitarist Memnock and guitarist Elvorn.
With the line up complete Susperia entered Pitfire Studios near Oslo to record the five-song ‘Illusion Of Evil’ demo, which immediately caused a buzz with various record labels. A bidding war ensued with ten labels chasing the bands signature. Susperia eventually opted for Nuclear Blast, finalising their deal in early 2000. October of the same year saw the band hard at work in the legendary Abyss Studios, Sweden producing their debut album ‘Predominance’. The album was released to critical acclaim in March 2001, with the international press praising Susperia as one of the freshest and most interesting bands around at the time. Tours with In Flames, Nevermore, Lacuna Coil, Dimmu Borgir and a headline appearance at Portugal’s Extremo Open Air Festival followed, placing the band in front of excited audiences around Europe.
The second album ‘Vindication’ followed in 2002 with the band once again utilising Abyss Studios for the recording. ‘Vindication’ equally impressed both fans and critics alike, being championed as one of extreme metals’ groundbreaking albums. However cracks were beginning to appear in the bands’ relationship with Nuclear Blast, mainly due to a lack of live promotional support from the label. As a result the band took their destiny into their own hands and asked to be released from their contract. They subsequently parted company with the label on amicable terms. Summing up the situation at the time, vocalist Athera commented, “we couldn’t sit on our arses waiting for something to happen”. Despite the upheavals, Susperia still managed to get out on the road, appearing mainly at European festivals, but also fitting in a performance at the Milwaukee Metalfest in the USA.
By 2003 the band were fielding offers from various labels, eventually finding a new home with upcoming Norwegian label TABU – a division of TUBA Records. After sorting out their business affairs, Susperia set about writing their new album. Retreating to the tranquillity of Memnock’s cabin in the Norwegian woods, they shut themselves away for four weeks and aided by a touch of alcohol, wrote the songs that would appear on ‘Unlimited’. Recording of the album took place at Subsonic Studios in Norway and Studio Fredman in Sweden, with production duties handled by the band. However prior to entering the studios to record the album, Susperia had a couple of “firsts”, undertaking tours of the UK and headlining dates in Mexico for the first time.
With ‘Unlimited’ Susperia came of age, producing their best selling album to date. It was an album that showed a new maturity in song writing and performance. The five highly skilled musicians combined their technical prowess and individual personalities to deliver one of the metal genres outstanding albums of 2004. Entering Norway’s ‘Official Album Chart’ at Number 43, the album quickly became a favourite with both fans and media around the world. Further recognition came with a nomination in the 'Metal' category for Norway's respected ‘Alarm’ awards. In the USA, ‘Unlimited’ made an immediate impact, becoming the third most added album at influential CMJ Loud Rock Radio and achieved the number three position on the ‘Crucial Spin Charts”, while the video for the song ‘Chemistry’ received regular TV airplay on MTV Headbangers Ball and Havoc TV amongst others. The band was creating an impact in both Europe and the USA. An exhausting nine-week European tour in support of ‘Unlimited’ late in 2004 established the band as a great live experience.
The increasing profile paid off in 2005 when the band was invited to be the main support on the ‘Reunion European Tour’ of Bay area thrash legends Testament. September 2005 saw Susperia release the ‘Devil May Care EP’ which contained a collection of original and cover songs along with promo videos. The EP was intended to be a low-key affair whilst the band worked on material for their next full-length album, but the release took everyone by surprise when it reached number 19 on Norway’s official ‘Hit List’. As a result the band created a piece of music history by becoming the first home grown act in the metal genre to achieve a Top 20 hit in the country. A short headline European Tour rounded the year off, leaving the band ready to concentrate on recording their fourth studio album in 2006.
As the band set to work on their fourth full length album, a new chapter is ready to unfold as Susperia look to expand their grasp on the music that has impressed so many.

VESANIA (POL) - Death - Black Metal
Hailz Supreme Metal Brothers and Sisters.
Once again I was asking you to check out some killer band comming out of Poland, the land of supreme quality Metal this days. Vesania are having all the best essence of that refined polish sound. Their Hybrid Black - Death Metal is in fact some of the best I heard since far long time, comparable only to the sound of Masters of the Genre like Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir and few others. This band is build from tallented musicians, some are pretty known like Orion of Behemoth or Daray from Vader but beside this they have a true ear catching new sound with all the best influences I am sure you would appretiate them... so do your best t support them and add them to your list and spread the word about them.
A Bit More about Vesania:
I cannot recall when the notion of a band was first conceived. It must have been an age ago... VESANIA has existed throughout all eternity. Only the passage of time was required to facilitate the meeting of those involved, the people who would possess an understanding of Its meaning. VESANIA is the Black Metal manifestation of brutality via madness, a mad vision in a mad form. It is an art of the unreal. By definition, madness is that which cannot be comprehended yet often, in spite of being stigmatised, it evidences the highest form of Wisdom. VESANIA is the art that embodies the Truth as perceived by our eyes. There is insanity, magick and sadness. There is union, war, blood and grief. Finally, there is a fire, a coldness, a hatred and a darkness that resides betwixt the hateworks of VESANIA.
HISTORY:
1997-2000 As a physical entity, VESANIA has been in existence since the end of 1997. The original line-up was: Orion (guitars and voices), Daray (drums and percussion), and Heinrich (bass). As time progressed it became evident that there was a need for expansion. As a consequence, Hatrah was added on keys for the first recording, a rehearsal tape from that period, followed by Annahvahr (guitars and voices). The end of 1998 saw the recording of fifteen minutes of studio material which became "CD Promo 1999". Shortly thereafter, the band was forced to decide whether or not to incorporate keys as a studio instrument. The position remained vacant for a considerable amount of time until the Fall of 2000 when the new keymaster, Siegmar, joined the band.
2001-2002 VESANIA performed throughout several cities in Poland, the band always maintaining that live performance and the live expression is a particularly important facet of their art. Throughout this time the band were simultaneously working on material for a full length album. Finally, at the start of 2002, the material from 1998 was released by Odium Records as the "Moonastray" limited edition split CD with Black Altar. The anticipated breakthrough recording session of 2001/2002 ultimately took longer than expected, being delayed until the Spring of 2002. The band worked in Selani Studio (Vader, Christ Agony, Lux Occulta) with production being handled by Szymon "Szymonaz" Czech.
2003 The debut CD, "Firefrost Arcanum", was released in January 2003 by Empire Records, this label handling all publishing and promotion at the time.
The release of "Firefrost Arcanum" was a very significant breakthrough for the band. Following the premiere of the debut album, VESANIA began to appear regularly in all forms of the musical media in Poland. Furthermore, in the Spring of 2003, the album was released in Europe by Crash Music. It all led to the band performing on the Metalmania Festival 2003 amongst the likes of Samael, Marduk, Malevolent Creation and touring with Vader on the Blitzkrieg Tour 2003. It was during this year that Annahvahr departed from the band with session guitarists being utilised for live performances.
2004 Time progressed and two of the members joined other established bands. Orion joined Behemoth yet in 2003 and in the Spring of 2004 Daray replaced Doc in Vader. Nonetheless, VESANIA continued to exist and at the end of 2004 began the recording session of the second album, "God the Lux". The chosen studio was Hendrix Studio (Behemoth, Azarath, Thunderbolt, Asgaard) in Lublin, with the sound engineering duties being handled by Arkadiusz "Malta" Malczewski.
2005 The recording of "God the Lux" was completed at Hertz Studio (Vader, Dies Irae, Decapitated, Lost Soul, Sceptic, Crionics) in Bialystok and the mixing and mastering of the album was done with the Wieslawscy brothers. Another major development for the band, the most significant thus far, was the signing of a new deal with Massive Management (Vader, Decapitated). Empire Records is the label that will be handling the release and promotion of "God the Lux" and the Polish premiere of the album is set for April of 2005.
